In 1974, Converse released a low-cut suede version of the Chuck Taylor All Star with a single star logo on one side, the One Star. The design, which was revived in the early 1990s, gained popularity in the skateboarding world thanks to a revamp designed to improve performance. Today's One Star Pro provides more board contact and better impact protection thanks to a CONS rubber outsole with traction and a molded CX footbed. The low-profile design improves overall flexibility, while the suede upper with rubber reinforcement maintains durability.
